Detoxifying to Heal Cancer: Why Choose Near-Infrared Sauna?

The human body is often overwhelmed by pollutants and toxins, which are found everywhere from the air we breathe to the water we drink. When toxins accumulate in our bodies without any effective route of elimination, they get increasingly dangerous and can contribute to cancer. That’s why detoxification is a one of our seven key principles of non-toxic alternative cancer treatment and a key aspect of our holistic approach at Hope4Cancer.

First, why do we emphasize detoxification? Toxins, including lead, nickel, aluminum, arsenic, mercury and many others, weaken our body’s ability to function properly and to self-repair. In addition, toxins contribute to the onset of cancer.

We employ many therapies for detoxification, including nutrition and coffee enema. One detoxification treatment we prescribe to many patients is near-infrared sauna. We have seen many patients thrive as a result of this powerful detoxification therapy. Let’s explore how near-infrared sauna works and why this treatment is so beneficial.

Near infrared light assists in the excretion of chemical toxins and heavy metals through the sweat glands. It also increases oxygenation and enhances the immune system while reducing the radiation burden in the body by removing radioactive particles resident in the tissues. The sauna’s near infrared heat penetrates into the body, stimulating the sweating process without the feelings of suffocation and discomfort common in high-temperature dry and steam-heat saunas.

Furthermore, near-infrared sauna helps your body detox from cancer-causing industrial chemicals. From pesticides and rocket fuel to chemical compounds in cosmetics and deodorant, a person has 700 xenobiotic chemicals in their body on average according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). And the average woman applies 168 chemicals to her body each day. So it’s no wonder that our bodies, having accumulated these dangerous chemicals, need the detoxification benefits of near-infrared sauna.

Near-infrared sauna can also destroy cells that contain radiation, a dangerous problem in our world today. Exposure to even small amounts of radiation over the long term can heighten the risk of cancer. These weaker cells that may contain radiation are safely and easily destroyed with near-infrared sauna.

Near-infrared sauna drives skin rejuvenation, improving skin health in many ways. The skin is the largest organ in the body, designed to help release toxins from the body. But in most people it is inactive, toxic and congested. This impairs the body’s natural ability to eliminate toxins through the skin. Near-infrared sauna shuttles blood to the skin’s surface, bringing nutrients and oxygen that allows the skin to resume its detoxification function. Once the skin is rejuvenated, it is more capable of safely eliminating all heavy metals and toxic chemicals.

Most of us are familiar with hypothermia, which is an abnormally low body temperature. Near-infrared sauna works by inducing hyperthermia, the very opposite. This creates a “fever” reaction. The body naturally raises its temperature as a natural defense against infections and toxins. Many people, however, have a low body temperature because their thyroid (which controls body temperature) is functioning improperly — possibly due to heavy metal and chemical toxicity. Hyperthermia, therefore, raises the body temperature, powerfully assisting the body to kill bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses. Tumors and mutated cells don’t tolerate heat well, and therefore, raising body temperature hastens their death. However, it should be noted that the hyperthermia state caused by the near infra-red sauna cannot be compared to that obtained using radiofrequency induced hyperthermia. In the latter, the temperatures obtained are higher, as well as the heat penetration. That is why at Hope4Cancer, patients are recommended both near-infrared sauna and hyperthermia as standard therapies.

Near-infrared sauna also boosts immunity. By enhancing white blood cell function, exposure to near-infrared light waves increases immune response and drives the elimination of pathogens and cellular waste. Just a 30-minute near-infrared sauna session causes a temporary three-degree increase in body temperature, an increase that is enough to stimulate white blood cells.

The deep heat from near-infrared sauna reduces pain because it is a proven method in reducing inflammation and increasing circulation. Stimulating the dilation of blood vessels (particularly peripheral blood vessels) improves blood flow deep in muscle tissues, reducing pain in joints and muscles.

Compared to that from other saunas, the heat emitted from a near-infrared sauna is considered to be completely safe and, in addition to all of its benefits, it’s a cooler option. Traditional saunas require high temperatures for profuse sweating, but infrared rays penetrate the skin and heat from the inside, as well as on the skin’s surface. This results in an air temperature that is much cooler, allowing you to stay in much longer and receive the fullest benefits. This is particularly significant for cancer patients or sick individuals who would not be able to tolerate a regular sauna due to intense heat.

In addition to its detoxification support, near-infrared sauna is just one aspect of how we use light energy in our holistic approach at Hope4Cancer. We consider light energy to have healing powers in many significant ways, such as the way we apply light in Hope4Cancer’s Sono-photo Dynamic Therapy where cancer cell-destroying sensitizers are activated by exposure to light waves of specific wavelengths. 1. Hello may I ask what kind of infra red sAuna you use please and your thoughts on EMF safety exposure for your one..

    Thankyou

      1. Please address the question about EMF exposure and just what kind of near infrared sauna you are using.

        1. Hello!

We are not able to give medical advice directly through our website or social media platforms, but please contact our admissions office at 888-544-5993 or go to https://hope4cancer.com/schedule-a-call/ and fill out the form and one of our admissions officers can get you a consultation with our doctor.

        2. Madeline, I would like to know the same. No reason to speak to a ‘doctor’ when the question is about the design and standards of the unit described.

Here is what Hollyanne wrote, but can’t seem to clarify further, which is a warning to use low EMF equipment by can’t qualify theirs. Wierd.

“Also, many far-infrared wavelength generators are inefficient and produce high levels of EMF as electrical “waste” that can be harmful to the body. So, nothing wrong in opting for a far-infrared device that is line with your health goals, but be careful to make sure you research the EMF ratings of any device you may be considering to minimize long-term hazards.”

          1. Hello,

I consulted with a doctor on the H4C staff to answer that question as I am not part of the medical team. I am simply online support. 3. I read the Detoxify or Die book by Dr. Sherry Rogers, written in 2001, and it seems like all of this information is all about Far Infrared, and humorously, I said to a friend, that Far is spelled FAR, and not NEar I have not seen any research on Near Infrared being able to penetrate more than 1-2 cm, while FAr infrared Energy penetrates 1.75 – 2 Iinches, and CAN increase Core Temperature . Do you have any documentation or can you refer me to substantiate anything you said about Near Infrared. Dr. Rogers documents all of these assertions you make about Near, and she documents all of them about Far. I don’t understand at all your article, which sort of is a planarization. in that it looks like you have copied another article on Far, changed the words a little bit , and inserted Near. Since humans animals and water generate far infrared energy, it only makes sense that Far infrared energy would resonate with the water and our cells, causing an increase in core temperature, while Near Infrared is to out of sync, or too far away from our frequencies to have that kind of an affect. I would appreciate if you could explain any scientific research on near infrared light. And How much near infrared energy do you need in the sauna to have an impact. Thanks so much

    1. The science behind the effect of infrared wavelengths on the body is a lot more complex than can be summarized on our website. The reality is that each of the wavelengths (near, mid, and far) have their specific benefits that exceed simply the metric of how deep they penetrate the body. For example, near-infrared represents extremely useful photobiomodulation wavelengths, triggering processes within the body in a manner similar to how plants respond to sunlight. This results in benefits to cellular health, immune system modulation, wound healing, pain relief, etc. Even though the penetration is not as deep as the other infrared wavelengths, there are many systemic downstream benefits that result from regular stimulation in this critical range of wavelengths. Wavelength is important – beyond 900 nm, all we end up doing is dissipating the light energy by activating the water molecules in our body, so we want to work mainly in the 800-900 nm range as far as near-infrared is concerned. For more information, you can check out Dr. Mercola’s interview with Dr. Hamblin (see link below). Dr. Hamblin is a celebrated researcher from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and one of the world’s leading authorities in the fields of photodynamic therapy and photobiomodulation.
Far infrared will reach deeper, yes, but will not provide the photobiomodulation benefits of near-infrared wavelengths. Also, many far-infrared wavelength generators are inefficient and produce high levels of EMF as electrical “waste” that can be harmful to the body. So, nothing wrong in opting for a far-infrared device that is line with your health goals, but be careful to make sure you research the EMF ratings of any device you may be considering to minimize long-term hazards.

  4. My wife is suffering from Mold-Toxicity due to a past living situation.
We have moved to a new (Safe) location and removed all contaminated items.
We are working with her GP to take OTC detoxification
My question is, we were going to set up a DIY Near-Infraed Sauna using the following,
3-4 RubyLux NIR-A Near Infrared Bulb Grade A
3-4 Woods Clamp Lamp with 10 Inch Reflector and Bulb Guard (300 Watt Bulb, 6 Foot Cord)
    3’x3’x6′ Mylar lined grow tent
1 Sauna Steamer Portable Pot 1.5-1.8 Liters
folding camping stool/chair to sit on
Was going to have her use this for about 30 min a day to help with detoxing and help regulate.
Does this setup sound good? worth it? any recommendation?
Thank You for any help or info on the matter.
