Time to Flush Cancer! Detoxing with Coffee Enemas

Does a cup of coffee get your day started? If so, you are joined by 54 percent of the U.S. population who enjoy that daily pick-me-up. But would you ever guess that coffee could help you heal cancer? While there are a number of studies that link coffee consumption to reduced cancer risk, at Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers, we advocate that coffee be consumed not as a beverage but as part of an enema — a key detoxification method to support cancer healing.

Detox to Heal

Whether you are healing your cancer via conventional (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy) or alternative (holistic, non-toxic) methods, your body still has to process dead cancer cells and excrete the waste products through the blood, liver, and colon. As a result, detoxification is an important complementary therapy to support cancer die off and healing.

At Hope4Cancer, we take the detoxification process very seriously and include a number of therapies in our treatment regimen to ensure that our patients’ bodies deal with the normal toxicity that comes when cancer cells die off, also known as “necrosis.” After searching the globe for the most effective detoxification processes, we have found coffee enemas to be one of the best methods. While we also include near infra-red saunas, juice fasting, and biological dentistry as part of our detoxification regimen, today’s post concentrates on the specific benefits of coffee enemas for the colon and the liver.

Clean As A Whistle

Colon cleansing is an ancient and time-honored health practice for rejuvenating the lower digestive system. One of the earliest known instances of colon cleansing was recorded in Egypt more than 4,000 years ago. Later, Hippocrates taught these procedures in his health care system.

Dr. Bernard Jensen, D.C., the father of colonics, stated once that “death begins in the colon.” According to him, about 85 percent of people suffer from impaired digestion and elimination. The long term impact of colonic obstructions results from the accumulation of toxins, poor absorption of nutrients, and a progressively weakened immune system. Most cancer patients we see at Hope4Cancer have impaired digestive systems in some form or another.

In the case of cancer, maintaining good colon health takes on an increased significance. A healthy digestive system is key to sustaining a strong immune system, and cleansing the colon is important for removing carcinogenic toxins. During cancer treatment, large tumors break down into necrotic areas, forming dead tissue that the body eliminates through the digestive system. When there is improper colon health, toxins can accumulate in the colon and complicate the healing process.

The liver is also a key organ in the detoxification process during cancer healing. The liver eliminates its waste through the colon. But when there is not a clear pathway for elimination, there is increased stress on the liver, which can even cause metastatic disease in that organ.

Your Personal Roto-Rooter

Coffee in the form of a coffee enema — rather than the cup you enjoy with breakfast — is an excellent conduit for cleansing the colon and the liver. When inserted rectally, coffee is absorbed through the venous system in the lower part of the colon and goes directly into the liver. It then stimulates the liver to produce more bile, which flushes out the toxins from that organ. This frees up the liver’s capacity to process more toxins instead of being in a constant state of overload. Without this detoxification, the toxins remain concentrated in the bloodstream and various tissues and organs, causing overall toxicity in the body.

Most patients at Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers are prescribed coffee enemas for detoxification as part of their healing program. We have two special rooms where our patients are taught how to do the coffee enema each day. The coffee enemas are inserted via a bucket and tube system and held in the colon for 15 minutes before being expelled.

How It Works

While a coffee enema is held in the colon for 15 minutes, the entire blood system in the body passes through the liver about five times! The blood carries toxins from other parts of the body and is picked up by the liver for processing. The coffee acts as a stimulant to open up the bile duct, which allows the toxins to be released and expelled out through the rectum.

Another important role of the coffee enema is to stimulate the increased production of Glutathione S-Transferase (GST) by 600 to 700 percent. GST is an enzyme that contributes to the removal of free radicals and toxins from the blood. The radicals leave the liver and gallbladder as bile salts flowing through the duodenum.

The Best Coffee

At Hope4Cancer, we look high and low to find the best organic green coffee for our enema patients. We have found a coffee high in caffeine and palmitic acid is best for the coffee enema.

Is it Time for a Cleanse?

Don’t let the “ick” factor of a coffee enema keep you from healing your body. It is easy to do at home with minimal equipment and investment. We are convinced of the coffee enema’s healing properties and as a non-toxic therapy, we recommend it for cancer patients and anyone else who wants a healthier liver and colon.

  1. I know gerson therapy suggests up to 5 or 6 enemas a day. Currently, my boyfriend is still working and we are only able to do one enema a day. He is juicing, eating raw, practically all organic and using supplements as well as drinking baking soda water. Will the one enema be effective or is it only effective if done in higher quantities?

    1. Hi Carrie,
That is a very real practical challenge faced by most of our patients – life must go on! Actually, our doctors at Hope4Cancer recommend one or, at the most, two coffee enemas a day and that usually proves sufficient. In fact, too many coffee enemas could lead to electrolyte imbalance as well if you are not careful. A lot depends on your entire program. It looks like you have a lot of the detox elements figured out. Have you considered a near infra-red sauna? We would definitely recommend getting some professional help so that you are not making mistakes unknowingly. Let us know if we can help. If you are considering treatment at a clinic, please feel free to reach out to one of our patient counselors for a free consultation by clicking the following link : SCHEDULE A CALL.

      1. Hi, I’m trying to find the instructions for the coffee enemas. I’ve bought Dr Tony’s book where it says there are online resources for the book at hopeforcancerbook.com but there is nothing there in terms of resources. I also can’t find anything on your website except for this section. Can you advise please. Thanks.

  2. I’m wondering about the potential for Herxheimer reactions when doing coffee enemas especially when detoxing after chemotherapy. Is that a concern? If so, is there a way to mitigate the severity of the reactions?

    1. Hi Jackie,
That’s a good question. Obviously, no clinical studies have been done to give a definitive answer. But tapping into the combined clinical experience of our doctors in Mexico, I can tell you that none of them have ever reported Herxheimer reactions related to Coffee Enemas. Their recommendation is to start slowly, and then increase the frequency as you go, listening to your body all the time.

  3. I just bought a far infrared heating pad by UTK .. it has natural jade & tourmaline stones .. it says it promotes an environment of therapeutic negative ions. No EMF, multi heating settings up to 150degrees .. is there any benefit to using this ?? You said above to use near infrared ??? I thought far infrared was better to use ??? I’m confused ..

    1. The use of red and near infra-red light follows the principles of photobiomodulation which prescribes a small window that maximizes the absorption of energy by tissues. One of the problems of far infra red radiation is that it is absorbed by the abundant water present in our bodies, which results in a dissipation of its beneficial effects (even though you may experience the heating). So even if you have controlled the EMF aspect of far infrared light generation, it is better to stay within the optical window of red and near-infrared light.

    1. Our doctors recommend coffee enemas routinely as a detoxification therapy – an important part of our Seven Key Principles of Cancer Therapy. By itself, though, it is only one component of what should be a more comprehensive therapeutic approach. If you need any information or are looking for treatment options, feel free to request a free consultation and our patient counselors will be happy to help you.

  6. If one has colon cancer, there has to be tons of effective recipes to apply rectally. I mean, the location advantage for treatment is a plus. I’ve heard of baking soda, oxygen, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and coffee. I use coffee combined with baking soda every day. Hope that makes sense and is safe. I’m going to start with oxygen or H2O2 next. I’m also imagining garlic, turmeric, and others would work as well. Yet I can’t seem to find anything online. I’m hoping to find some info or sites that have different suggestions for enema ‘cocktails’ or suppositories that would be helpful. It just seems so obvious. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks in Advance;
    Curt
