As patients at H4C move from understanding the cause of their particular expression of the malignant process to the treatment stage, they are introduced to a biofeedback system that Dr. Jimenez uses, called SCIO.
SCIO is the Latin term for "to know". We need to know what the causes of the dis-ease processes are in order to obtain an effective long-term response. This is essential in addressing how present and past stresses may contribute to current conditions.
Biofeedback, in the strict sense of the word, is a treatment technique in which patients are trained to improve their health by using signals from their own body such as blood pressure, muscle tension, and brain wave activity, usually through use of instrumentation. Patients learn to associate sensations from the muscle only as tense as is necessary for as long as necessary.
After treatment, patients are then able to repeat this response at will without being attached to the sensors. Other biological functions, which are commonly measured and used in similar ways to help people learn to control their physical functioning, are skin temperature, heart rate, sweat gland activity, and brainwave activity.
Clinicians such as Dr. Jimenez' integrate sophisticated biofeedback devices to help gauge a patient's activity and progress. These devices can detect a person's internal bodily functions with far greater sensitivity and precision than can a person alone. This information is valuable in helping to direct the progress of treatment. Although researchers initially viewed these practices with skepticism, they proved that many individuals could alter their involuntary responses by being "fed back" information withers visually or audibly about what was occurring in their bodies.
Perhaps one of the most sensitive and telling devices available to practitioners is the SCIO, a state- of- the- art biofeedback system. During testing, the device resonates with thousands of cells, tissues, organs, nutrients, toxins and allergens for one hundredth of a second each, and records the degree to which the body reacts. This type of rapid testing is known as the tri-vector process. Every substance, inert or organic, emits its own electromagnetic energy. The highly sophisticated QXCI/SCIO device can register the frequencies and then check them against a database, states Dr. Jimenez.
The SCIO system scans the patient's body, looking for everything from viruses, mineral deficiencies and excesses, energetic weaknesses, allergies, cellular abnormalities and food sensitivities. It reports on the biological reactivity and resonance in the body and indicates needs, dysfunctions and vulnerabilities.
The information provided is fundamentally different from X-rays, blood tests and other laboratory gauges. It uncovers the energetic state of the body and the direction in which the body is focusing the energy. SCIO is connected to the subject via a headband, wristbands and ankle bands and sends electromagnetic signals to the body. It is painless and non-invasive.
Once it has measured vitamin levels, amino acids, nutrients, food substances, minerals, enzymes, natural sugars, toxins, hormone levels, muscle tone, dis-eased energetic aberrations, bacteria, molds, fungi, viruses and the health and balance of internal organs, the system then compares these figures against a "norm." Basically the SCIO energetically reveals anything that is affecting health.
The SCIO measures the body's resonance/reactance pattern and determines what benefit has occurred in the time period since the last measurement, which could be only seconds earlier. If there has not been an improvement, the input resonance is altered. It maintains each beneficial setting as long as it is helping and changes it as soon as it is no longer useful.
Notes Dr. Jimenez:
"There are many programs with the SCIO which, after measuring the body's frequencies, also feeds back its own frequencies to rectify or neutralize destructive wave patterns. In some cases it may add frequency, in others, reverse it to either enhance or counteract the body's own resonance."
"In some cases, it may add frequency, in others reverse it to either enhance or counteract the body's own resonance. SCIO can also be used to measure mental frequencies and map out a patient's psychic and emotional state, indicating personality traits such as a tendency to worry, which obviously impacts on health."
Dr. Jimenez is one of only a few practitioners using the SCIO in his cancer clinic. He believes the assessment and energetic balancing capability of the SCIO is far-reaching and fits very well into his holistic setting.
